Kelly and Caroline Black opened the first PieInTheSkyPizza location in Franklin, Tennessee in February, 2001.   The restaurant offered a great menu featuring fresh ingredients, hand-made sauces, aged cheeses and top-notch toppings. The original location in the Cool Springs Mall shopping district garnered great reviews and won numerous “best of” awards in Nashville within months of opening.  By early 2004 the PieInTheSkyPizza moved to a larger location which included seating for 200, a large private party room, a kid’s “dough bar,” sidewalk seating, a full-service bar and HDTVs.
